Inktober Inspired Halloween Prints - 2022

Halloween is my birthday, and I wanted to give back again this year by offering Inktober-inspired prints. This year I wanted to donate to the Canadian Women’s Foundation. The Foundation works to help women out of poverty and violence into confidence and leadership. They donate to programs nationwide serving First Nations, justice programs, 2SLGBTQI+ people, people living with disabilities and many more. Much like Inktober 2021, Inktober 2022 was challenging. I contracted Covid at the beginning of the month. For those who don’t know, I have a compromised immune system; over the pandemic, I’ve been super careful and safe. When I tested positive, my health became my number 1 priority. Inktober took a bit of a back seat. I normally prepare for Inktober in September when the official list is released. By having Inktober, a bit prepped, I could schedule to post many of the days to allow myself a bit of extra time for self-care.

For Inktober, I run a fundraiser for prints of each day's drawing prompts. This year, I wanted the drawings to feel cool and warm-toned with drowns and oranges. We raised $310 for the Canadian Women’s Foundation; I’m so grateful for everyone who reposted, commented and purchased drawings this year.
